Director, the 7th ESC Cardiology Highlights
Dear colleagues,
I feel really happy to invite you to join us in Dubrovnik, pearl of Croatia, for for the 7th Caridology Highlights – the International Update Meeting in Cardiology.
The Cardiology Highlights a s a biannual meeding, starting from 2009, as a joint project of the ESC and the Croatian Cardiac Society. All of the previous Highlights Meetings attracted a very prestigious International Faculty and an interactive audience for all over the world, and everybody could enjoy wonderful lectures and interactive discussions. The last Meeting was held in October 2019, several months befor COVID-19 outbrake. Unfortunately, we had to skip the next term, i.e. 2021, as we did not want to go virtual.
The Meeting is a primarily clinically designed, for cardiologists and cardiology fellows, but also for other medical doctors interested for cardiology topics. The main aim is to provide a comprehensive state of the art overview of contemporary cardiology, including cutting edges in science and clinical practice, with a special emphasis on the newest ESC guidelines.
Beside invited lectures from the leading representatives of various specialties in Cardiology, the Programme will be enriched with young cardiologists’ competition in presenting challenging clinical cases, and with original contributions from our attendees in a form of moderated posters. The abstracts will be published in Cardiologia Croatica – the official journal of the Croatian Cardiac Society, an active member of the ESC network of cardiology journals. The best posters and clinical cases are going to be awarded at the Closing Session of the Meeting. Satellite symposia will be few, and we will do our best to make them unbiased and accurate.
The Cardiology Highlights Meeting is also a great opportunity to meet peers and to network internationally. That should be particularly attractive for young cardiologists. There are no many meeting s as Highlights is: hot topics, fantastic speakers, and interactive audience in intimate atmosphere. Beside that, have in mind unforgettable beauty of Dubrovnik.
